bowen house
moonee ponds
My clients were renovating and extending their family home in Moonee Ponds, focused on a new kitchen, living and dining space.
I was initially engaged to help with selections, but I quickly identified that the proposed layout – particularly through the kitchen and dining area – wasn’t going to translate well from paper to real life.
I redesigned the layout to improve flow, allow for an island bench to function properly, and ensure there was enough clearance for dining chairs and island stools to be used comfortably.
Banquette seating maximised the compact dining space, and a dedicated breakfast pantry took the pressure off the main kitchen during busy mornings.
From there, the project grew into a broader interior design role, including joinery design, fixtures, fittings and finishes, lighting, window furnishings, furniture and styling.
